AutoCalc Feature

The FootballManager Standings module can save you a lot of work. The module can automatically calculate the standings of the teams based on your specifications and display them accordingly. For this purpose we have provided you with ten predefined tie-breaking rules excluding the basic calculations in the module.

When AutoCalc is active you can first define if the points should be assigned according to your configuration of the league (FootballManager league configuration) or based on the information in the module. This is about the points a team gets when it wins / loses a match or a draw is played.

The second option controls the "base table", i.e. according to this rule the table will be generated, currently you have the options by points or by winning percentage.

In the last section we come to the heart, the tie-breaking rules. In every league, when a tie occurs, so-called tie-breaking rules come into play in a predefined order. If such a rule can break the tie between the teams, the rule has been applied successfully. If not, the next rule will be applied. The Standings Module can apply these tie-breaking rules multidimensionally and thus complies with the norms of most leagues. This means that if you choose the rules according to the guidelines of your league in the module, you will get the valid league result automatically.

Available tie-breaking rules are current:

  • Head-to-head (best winning percentages in games among the clubs)
  • Best winning percentages in common games
  • Count of Wins (total)
  • Points for (Scored Game Points in all selected games)
  • Points for (Scored Game Points in common games)
  • Eval. Points from direct encounters
  • Best net Points in all selected games
  • Best net Points in common games
  • Best net Touchdowns in all selected games*
  • Best net Touchdowns in common games*

*For this you have to define in the FootballManager component in the settings which score type should be counted as a touchdown.

Important Notice:
Although we have followed the official rules regarding the calculations and have tested the module with various scenarios, we cannot guarantee that the generated table is fully valid. Please check the results for correctness in case of doubt.
