predefine a path

Hello, can I predefine a path in the custom field plugin or module so that the customer does not see all Joomla folders? Otherwise the right folder is very difficult to find?

Are you talking about the module setting itself (selection in static mode) or about a customfield in dynamic mode (maybe with nx-folderlist)?
In static mode the default joomla field is used where you "could" also search for - and there the filter is set to "images"?

about nx-folderlist: This plugin will become an update shortly that offers such a functionality.

I have Pre-Released Version 1.1 of the nx-FolderList CustomField. You can load it manually from inside the Downloads Area.

​

With the new Version you can set a Root dir in the field parameters (for each instance). It is a beta build but tested on J3 & J4.

Please note that you need to set the folders again for each article / item when setting up a Root Folder in the field settings.

To define a root folder for a certain field open the field settings via: Content --> Fields --> "nxFolderList Field" --> You will see there a new option for RootFolder

​

It would be great if you could give me a feedback how it works on your side.

Hello Marco. Thanks very much. This works fine for me. When I click "Select folder" I get an empty box. but when I write the path directly in the field it works fine.

yes that page but please with the "Console" (JS Console) - there should be an error visible on your page (you can also click on load filesystem text to push)

There is no error.

Thanks for your feedback & sorry for the late response - it is not the first time a user tells me that this happens (agile Downloads has the same field type / popup), but i can not simulate the error on my side - it must be something related to the used infrastructure (hoster) Can you tell me who your hoster is and / or some details about your PHP Version?
